Training of trainers (ToT)

In May 2025, YOWLI BURUNDI in collaboration with the national regulation authority (i.e., ABREMA), the expanded programme of Immunization (i.e., PEV), and the national public health institute (i.e., INSP) held a two-day intensive training of trainers on pharmacovigilance. It spanned the historical origin of pharmacovigilance, history of medicines, basics of pharmacovigilance, adverse effects reporting methodology, among others. The training involved 14 from experts ABREMA, PEV, INSP, YOWLI BURUNDI and other health programs. Trained trainers gained transferable skills and competences to train others as well as conduct pharmacovigilance filed activities.
