Roger Ciza,
He is a young of 28years old, co-founder and current Executive Secretary of Young Women’s Knowledge for Leadership Institute BURUNDI (YOWLI Burundi).
As an out-opened and creative young activist,he implemented a ‘’Stop SIDA club’’ in a rural and protestant area, creating ‘’Youth Light Association” (This was a framework gathering pupils in holidays through which they conducted self-sufficient and community development activities) and begun writing poems. His attention was much on youth especially those marginalized and disadvantaged (women, autochthons). He helped his pairs to know much about HIV/AIDS, to tackle GBV, unwanted pregnancies, and summer fires consuming environmental resources.
At the Medicine Faculty, he accomplished many activities vouching his leadership experience: students’ representative for two-year mandate conducting many advocacy activities for students he was representing. Meanwhile he was chosen to be the President of the Standing Committee on Social Issues within Burundian Medical Students’ Association.
After participated in YOWLIBURUNDI creation, he focused all attention to his new organization. He is committed and engaged with the Millennium Development Goals. His commitment areas include Sustainable development, GBV, HIV/AIDS_STIs combat, promoting Reproductive and Sexual Health.
He holds an exemplary experience acquired within different activities such as the sensitization campaigns he conducted in all Burundi universities (public and private) on HIV/AIDS-STIs, GBV during which he animated interactive and hot presentation and debates.
